United Kingdom Official Entry Travel Documents

1.	UK ETA (visa waiver): An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) provides authorization to travel to the UK and is electronically linked to your passport; evidence not placed in the passport, rather electronically stored within a computer system by the UK authories; permit is verified electronically at departure Check-in, airline counter. Travelers can travel to the UK while waiting for a decision. If you already have an ETA and then subsequantly have a new passport, you will need to apply for a new ETA.
2.	ETA Application: UK ETA availability from 17 November 2024; required from 8 January 2025.
3.	ETA, who requires: Required for non-UK citizens boarding an aircraft bound for the UK, for all ages, including Japan nationalities; Almost everyone travelling needs to get an ETA, including babies and children. Each person must apply separately or on behalf of other people. Each person must apply separately; group application is not possible. Available: from 17 November 2024 by clicking either the button for Sign in or Sign up.
4.	ETA validity: 2-years from the approval or expiration date of the passport, whichever is earlier.
5.	ETA Fee: All applicants, no matter the age; those who require an ETA, there is no exemption from payment.
6.	Visa: Not generally required for a stay of 6 months or less
